Tortrix Moth Trap and Refill


This safe pheromone trap catches the male moth, stopping fertilisation. Caterpillars of the Carnation Tortrix and Cyclamen Moth attack a wide range of ornamental plants they bind the leaves causing damage and stopping growth.

Once damage by the Carnation Tortrix moth is seen, control is very difficult as the caterpillar is protected by the 'webbing'.

Damage is commonly seen on a wide range of plants including: Asparagus Fern, Bay, Begonia, Camellia, Carnations, Citurs, Crassula, Cyclamen, Ivy, Kalanchoe, Mimosa, Oleander, Perlargonium, Plumbago, and Peach.

When to use the trap
Moths fly during the day, in early summer and again in early Autumn. In a heated greenhouse or conservatory they may be active all year round.
